Local Vauxhall retailer, Murketts, took on the role of Santa to deliver an extra special gift on Christmas Day in the form of a brand new Vauxhall Mokka to an unsuspecting Sandy resident.

Paul Chapman, sales executive at Murketts Royston, helped to spread the festive cheer when he helped Mr Chowings to ensure his wife had a Christmas she would never forget. Paul, who gave up Christmas morning to make the special delivery, took on the role of Santa Claus to ensure a surprised Mrs Chowings received her 21st century sleigh on time.

The Vauxhall retailer has spent a number of weeks working closely with Mr Chowings, who bought the brand new Mokka as a festive gift for his wife, to ensure she woke up to the ultimate present on Christmas morning.

Mrs Chowings comments: "I couldn't believe it when Santa arrived at my front door and I was in a complete state of shock when I realised he was bringing me a brand new car. I couldn't believe my husband and Murketts Vauxhall had gone to so much effort to surprise me. I definitely won't forget that special Christmas!"

Paul adds: "When Mr Chowings explained that he wanted to buy a brand new Mokka as a Christmas gift for his wife, we wanted to help in any way that we could. There was quite a bit of planning involved but I loved being part of something so thoughtful and being able to dress up as Santa. It was definitely worth it when I saw Mrs Chowings face on the day. It was the best Christmas present I've ever delivered!"
